A Traditional Christmas Wedding – Our Friends Chris & Rhian.
Last weekend we had the pleasure of attending the wedding of two of our friends, Chris and Rhian. Unfortunately, although I borrowed a photographer friends backup camera … I didn’t manage to get many decent shots. Firstly I am blaming the free wine, secondly the fact it was SO dark and thirdly, I’m just a crap photographer. I have also pilfered a few photos that our friends took, So if you are easily offended by rubbish photography, don’t read on!

As we sat in the Church, we could hear the faint sound of sleigh bells coming through the door. The beautiful flower girls were shaking them whilst Rhian walked in on her father’s arm. She looked gorgeous as she floated down the aisle wearing a full length asymmetric ivory gown, decorated with crystals and sequins. Teamed with a simple veil and faux fur bolero and gold tiara. Rhian looked every inch the traditional bride.
Lisa and Alex’s Surprise Wedding – The Photos!
Following on from last weeks post on Lisa and Alex aka 2people1life, i have just been given the go ahead by their fabulous photographer, Jonny Draper, to publish the photos. He captured them as they made their way from the altar to the pub, restaurant, pub, chippy, café, pub . . . . Ok you get the point. Lisa looked suitably stunning in Tabitha, one of bridal designer Charlotte Balbier’s most iconic gowns. The birdcage veil was one of many classic designs by Silver Sixpence In Her Shoe and the gorgeous flowers were arranged by Didsbury Flower Lounge.
If you missed the first post explaining their story, what happened on the day and the reason behind the surprise, then read here first. Otherwise please enjoy a gander through the beautiful shots of the Didsbury surprise wedding!
30 Weddings, 2 people, 1 World. The Amazing Adventures of Lisa and Alex.
I have been so excited about sharing this story with you, you have no idea!! In September this year I was lucky enough to get in contact with a pretty amazing couple, Lisa and Alex aka 2people1life. I sat down with a hot chocolate and read through their blog and what a read it was! For Lisa and Alex have just embarked on the journey of a lifetime and a journey I would very much love to do with Tom someday. Their plan is to spend 2 years travelling all over the world, exchanging vows in traditional and unusual wedding ceremonies with the aim to hitting a target of 30 . They sold up everything, quit their jobs and booked some tickets.
Romantic? Yes! Are they mad? Definitely! Inspirational? Haha what do you think? Since following their story I have done nothing but plot and plan our own version with fingers crossed it will one day happen. So join me as I follow their nuptial adventures East to West and North to South.
The Plan!
Nobs and Tots Raspberry & Mauve Beach Wedding
THIS is the kind of wedding i dream about.Think white sands, think bold colours, think the Philippines. My mum visited the Philippines 30 years ago with some family, back when travel abroad was not so easily accessible. The stories of coconut palms and turquoise skies still ring in my ears today and so it is one of the top destinations on our bucket list. The Philippines is a beautiful country made up of many tropical islands that are home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. There are few places as beautiful as this to hold an intimate beach wedding, something we hope to do one day.

A Vintage Vibe Wedding Packed With DIY and Personal Touches
When I started getting real wedding submissions through, I knew that the first one to feature would have to be extra special. When Penny kindly sent me her wedding story, I was captivated by the 11 pages of A4. Then I was sent the wedding photos from their photographer at Pavone Photography and WOW, the whole day came to life. It was so hard to shrink everything down for the blog without loosing the beautiful details of the day. So grab a brew and slice of cake, set 10 mins aside and enjoy x

Been a self confessed Art lover and 50s fiend, the wedding of Paul and Emma, in July this year, had me fixed. With a love of Art and books and 6 months to pull off a wedding, heres what they did . . .
